Happy Halloween!

What a beautiful, crisp, bright Autumn morning, the perfect start to Halloween!  Here at Christmas Bakery we have been busy producing lots of delicious Halloween treats… absolutely no tricks here!

It all started at the weekend when we launched our range of Halloween cupcakes, Bake-well Spooks, Chocolate Ghost Trains and Spider web cakes as well as our delicious Pumpkin Bread, all of which are available today, freshly baked at both our bakery shops in Ash Vale and Worplesdon.

Our range of Halloween cupcakes are a mix of chocolate, vanilla and orange each one decorated in a fun Halloween theme plus topped with jelly tots and chocolate buttons

We know how much you love our frog tarts, but for Halloween we’ve turned our frogs not into princesses, but Bake-well Spooks, ahhhhhhh!

Then there’s our friendly Ghost Train, made from our classic chocolate sponge recipe and covered in our delicious, rich chocolate flavoured fondant, with pumpkin rings for wheels.

And for sharing, we’ve turned our Happy Range of cakes into our classic spider web cakes! This year we’ve introduced bright Halloween colours so they really stand out, each one with a hand piped spiders web, finished with a creepy spider ring on top, sat right in the middle of its web.  However, when you cut into these delicious cakes you’ll be treated to the taste of our madeira cake, filled with a vanilla flavoured frosting and our classic apple and raspberry jam, so they won’t hang around for long!

Also on sale today, are our freshly baked Pumpkin loaves, made with a mix of wheat, rye and barley flour and packed with pumpkin seeds. Best served with butter, or toasted and topped with chocolate spread! Sounds bizarre but really tasty! Or serve alongside a hot bowl of tomato soup, the perfect warmer for a cold day like today!

Fresh Bread & Rolls

Making bread requires care, technical knowledge and a great deal of commitment. At the Christmas Bakery we produce a variety of different breads to suit all tastes, from traditional white and wholemeal loaves to sourdough’s and speciality breads including our bestselling Multi-seed and Norfolk Crunch. All our breads and rolls are made with strong flours milled the traditional way from Canadian and English wheat. We work with Heygates, a family milling business since the 19th Century, who deliver twice a week from their mill in Tring. With nearly 4 tonnes of flour delivered every week, we're baking nearly 24 hours a day, 6 days a week to ensure you enjoy warm, hearty loaves!
