Hot Cross Buns are back!

With Easter fast approaching, we’re now in full production of hot cross buns! Baking every night and every morning, our traditional spiced, sweet buns are packed with fruit and all handmade by our skilled bakers. We only ever make and sell our hot cross buns for Easter so after Easter Saturday, when we close our shops for Easter Sunday, you’ll have to wait another year to buy them again. We sell 1000’s of hot cross buns every year, because of our unique scratch recipe, you won’t taste a bun like it, soft and fruity with a warm hint of spice, they taste great as they are, but when a day or two old, they taste amazing toasted, and especially when covered in melting butter, you won’t be able to resist toasting that second bun! We have even added hot cross buns to our home delivery menu, due to popular demand!

As we stop making hot cross buns at Easter, this year we are going to try something new so you can still enjoy those flavours until next Easter, and that’s out hot cross bun bread & butter pudding…. watch this space!

Fresh Bread & Rolls

Making bread requires care, technical knowledge and a great deal of commitment. At the Christmas Bakery we produce a variety of different breads to suit all tastes, from traditional white and wholemeal loaves to sourdough’s and speciality breads including our bestselling Multi-seed and Norfolk Crunch. All our breads and rolls are made with strong flours milled the traditional way from Canadian and English wheat. We work with Heygates, a family milling business since the 19th Century, who deliver twice a week from their mill in Tring. With nearly 4 tonnes of flour delivered every week, we're baking nearly 24 hours a day, 6 days a week to ensure you enjoy warm, hearty loaves!
